Strategic board games like chess and real-time strategy games like Command & Conquer: Red Alert and Blizzard’s Starcraft has molded my mind to think strategically in order to win in these battles. And as I got exposed to the business world, I am surprised to see that managing and leading an organization has a similar line of thought with winning in the games I used to play. There are parameters with different weights that you consider, like the strength of your weapons and the current time in the game. Considering such things and coming up with the best move is what economists now call “Game Strategy”.
Thomas J Watson, founder of IBM, said:
“Business is a game, the greatest game in the world if you know how to play it.”
And with this, I start this blog aiming to share my thoughts, ideas and learnings in the area of business.
Hope you’ll all like it.
